View of Gulf

This blogspot / website is an unfolding story. We just bought a condo in Siesta Key which for us is a second home, as well as a rental property. Our purpose here is twofold: chronicle our Siesta Key experience and provide a user friendly guide for our renters to plan their Siesta Key experience. To that end this web site has these sections:

404 @ the Anchorage
All about our scenic condo on Siesta Key. Take a tour of our beautiful and spacious 2 bedroom, 1300 square foot (120mm), home away from home. This includes a look at the smartly designed and comfortable indoors; The exclusive deeded beach access on the Gulf of Mexico for residents and guests of the Anchorage ; The great views from the 270 degree, wraparound terraces of the 404; A look at the well manicured, park-like grounds of the Anchorage with the half-Olympic size pool, 3 tennis courts, a nautilus work out center, and private frontage on Sarasota Bay; The docks at the Anchorage where you can park your boat right outside the front door;  From here you can also learn about rental opportunities for #404.

Things to Walk To
Out the door in less than a 15 minute stroll, there is plethora of activities and resources, including: A tiki party bar where cares are easily left behind; Bayside restaurants with views of the native flora; Island shopping with unique objects representative of the area; Boating by tour or rental; Fishing from land or sea; Parasailing high up above the Gulf of Mexico; A general store with the supplies you need to make a home cooked meal and the sunscreen and cover to spend all day at the beach; All right here off of Stickney Point drawbridge. Leave the automobile behind.

Just a Short Drive
One of the really great things about Siesta Key is its proximity to an incredible diversity of locales. Starting with island hotspot of Siesta Key Village; The world-class fashion center of Armond Circle; The urban sophistication of downtown Sarasota; The natural beauty and eco diversity of Sarasota Bay; The exclusive man-made island enclave of Bird Key where opulent wealth meets mother nature; Ringling Brothers' Museum featuring  the history of the world famous Ringling Brothers Circus; To name a few, there is simply a ton to do and see and all reachable in a 30 minutes drive or less.
